Of course, there are plenty of other places we’d like you to discover, but here are just a few where you can have fun.
Monday
Lesson or Training
The beginning of the week is never easy. It’s always hard to get started, and even harder to motivate your friends to go out. My recommendation is to focus on learning. Take a class on Monday or review what you already know. This will put you in the mood for the week.
There are lots of schools and associations in Paris and the Ile-de-France region, so you’re sure to find what you’re looking for. Don’t always opt for proximity, but for the class where you feel most comfortable.
Since I started, Mondays have always been class evenings 😊
Tuesday
La Comptoir Général
El SOLAR
If you feel like chilling out and having a drink in a cosmopolitan venue with free admission, I recommend el SOLAR organized by our friends Lorenys & Manolo at Le Comptoir Gé. An introductory class will be held at 8pm to give you the confidence to get the evening off to a good start.
Wednesday
Salsabor
Felicità
Join me on Wednesday in the heart of Paris at the Salsabor school for an Estilo Cubano / Timba class at 8pm, followed by a Casino class (Cuban Salsa). And to continue the evening, like el Solar, you can meet up at La Felicità , where admission is free and you can dance, eat and drink in good company.
Since September 2024, another evening has been taking place at SBK with Piewo and Roberto at the helm. BOUM BOUM VILLETTE is a new place to try out.
Thursday
La Peña Festayre
Also in the heart of Paris, on Thursdays, head to Café OZ in Chatelet for Paris Latino, where you’ll find DJ Chan Chan, Didi… Free entry and a few initiations to get you started.
Friday
Camino Pa* Cuba
Calle Sol
Marbrerie
And we’re off to a great start on the 1st Friday of the month with the Camino Pa* Cuba! evening! In just 2 years, this evening has become a must. Stage with live music, concert, show, 100% Cuban mix… all in a warm and friendly atmosphere. All the ingredients for a memorable evening. See you at Sensation Dance School from 8pm.
Every 2nd Friday of the month, it’s Calle Sol’s turn to host a party. A convivial evening organized by the school in the beautiful salle Colonne.
On the 4th Friday of the month, the Salsa Especial evening takes place in Montreuil, where regular concerts are organized in addition to the Mix Salsa. At La Marbrerie, it’s a real pleasure to bring live music to life and meet the artists.
Satursday
La Habanera
Scala Havana
Although this is a monthly event, it’s well worth the wait. Great atmosphere guaranteed, you won’t get bored.
The man behind La Habanera is Neil Murray. He’s the man behind this project and this close-knit team. Fethe transmits the music and the Guests provide the score. Saturdays are different thanks to new guests at the mix. You’ll find all the info on Latinatime.
Another monthly is Scala Havana at the Elle et lui Danse school in Alfortville. It’s just outside Paris, but you can park easily. A great evening in a family atmosphere, hosted by Ernesto and Angelik.
Sunday
Para Bailar Casino
The team has been the same since “Montecristo”, the beginning of Salsa in Paris for connoisseurs. Jack elCalvo & Roberto El Cubano organize the “Para Bailar Casino” evening. Inheriting the conviviality and atmosphere of the old Wagg, this evening is a must on Sundays. “Para Bailar Casino” is the party par excellence if you’re looking to dance Salsa in Paris.
Currently taking place at the “Vendome Clu” in the Opéra district, you’ll be dancing your shoes off.
Well, I hope this gives you a little inspiration if you want to dance Salsa in Paris. In any case, don’t hesitate to make up your own routine and try out new places outside the capital. What are your favorite places to dance? Tell us in the comments!
For those interested in trying out my classes and coming to the parties I attend, feel free to send me a message on fares.shanguito@bailacubano.com and check out our AGENDA.
